Hazel is a member of the Ahousaht Band, located in the territory of the Nuu-Chah-Nulth Nation, on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. She grew up in Greater Victoria, British Columbia, where she graduated from high school and pursued her post-secondary education. She attended CDI College and obtained her Legal Administrative Assistant diploma in 2004.

Hazel served as a legal assistant at Grant & Company for five years before coming on board the Tyhee team. She is well versed in day-to-day office management and also has experience with the Ministry of Finance as well as in the private business sector. Hazel works in the areas of bookkeeping, invoicing, payroll, scheduling, correspondence, and human resources. Her flexibility, attention to detail, conscientious customer service, and administrative skill set have made her able to multi-task and transition smoothly from one office duty to the next.

Hazel has spent much of her time raising her family and maintaining her roots in Esquimalt, traditional territory of the Lekwungen peoples, keeping close connections with her family all throughout Vancouver Island. She is excited to bring her knowledge and experience to the Tyhee Financial team.
